ClearCaptions.com offers a free service for hearing impaired individuals.  The  account and the service are both free but you must have hearing loss to qualify.  All you need is a telephone, a computer and an Internet connection and it will even work with an iPad or an iPod Touch.

The service is also currently available for iPhone users and in the near future it will work with other smartphones as well.  Plus this service is also available to business users.
